This small, low growing yellow flower, is found in South up through Central and lower North America, and the Caribbean. It had long been used prior to the arrival of Europeans for bladder and urinary issues. Today, it is used due to its’ purported effects as an aphrodisiac, possible hallucinogen, weight loss, and anti-depressant.
This herb acts as a tonic on the central nervous system to promote overall good mood. It can help with headaches, provide a boost to physical and mental stamina, helps libido through relaxation with its nervine actions.
