This herb acts as a tonic on the central nervous system to promote overall good mood. It can help with headaches, provide a boost to physical and mental stamina, helps libido through relaxation with its nervine actions. There are also studies that indicate it can assist with: *PMS soother, laxative, and high blood pressure. It works by dilating blood vessels to help things get flowing easier. It also works internally to help balance androgens. Damiana is a nutrient rich herb, similar in medicinal quality to cannabis.*
It is actually banned in Louisiana, because it was used in the blend known as K2 “Spice”, the temporarily legal substitute for cannabis. Whether brewed as a tea to help with appetite control, dropped into wine to help relax, or taken as a nutritional supplement, Damaina can be used as long as it is with care.
